The Sports Blaster Gumball Machine is an all-mechanical novelty pinball game that dispenses candy or toy products. It was introduced to the coin-op industry in 1996. Thousands have been sold in all 50 States and 30 foreign countries. It has quickly become one of the most popular and profitable interactive vending games in the coin-op industry.
The novelty of the game is that the dispensed product becomes the play ball or 'pinball'. The object of the game is to strike the product with the mechanical flippers and skillfully hit a suspended target. Doing so will cause the game to dispense a second product free.
Only one free product is dispensed during each game even though the target may be struck several times during game play. The challenge of winning an extra product coupled with an interactive game is a winning combination. Revenues are significantly greater than the typical gumball vendor.
