Sugar in your diet–

Some years ago the buzz word was ‘fats,’ then it was ‘carbs,’ and today it is ‘sugar’ that is getting the focus of negative attention by nutrition experts.

Did you know humans are born with an inclination towards a sweet taste?  Mother’s milk is known to have more sugar than cow’s milk.  Sugar is easily digested by babies promoting rapid growth and development. 

Historically, foods that tasted sweet were considered good, whereas foods with bitter tastes were suspected of being bad.

So why the bad rap for candy and gumballs and other sugar products?  Like most everything in life, balance and moderation is the key.
